With the pandemic still upon us all, online transaction have become impactful and diverse as ever before. Shopping of any products, be it simple tangible items or even investment products are now readily available for purchase on various online platforms.
The growing importance of online presence opens up to more positive gateways, but at the same, attracts more problems too. These problems could take the form of unauthorized transactions, undelivered goods, instalment plans.
To highlight these issues, the Law Society Pro Bono Services and the Financial Industry Disputes Resolution Centre Ltd (‘FIDReC’) organized a webinar to discuss common traps to avoid in digital transactions. Our Chairman Dr Toh was invited to be one of the panel speakers at this webinar and addressed the possible disputes in online transactions as well as how to avoid and manage them.
